It’s short and sweet weather here at The Backlog Odyssey, so that means quickly rounding up a completion and struggling to choose what to play next! Especially with Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night in my hands!!

Not All Horror is Equal

Good morning backloggers!! Today’s post is going to be super short and delectably sweet, since I’m still neck deep in trying to finish up my next Backlog Review for the creepy and fun The Coma: Recut!! The voices have been recorded, the video has been captured and all the technical difficulties have already been suffered through and resolved!! Including remembering to take my dang USB drive with all the video on it with me! And if everything goes as planned, and no other random “encoding” errors crop up on me, I am hoping you’ll see it drop later today!!

But, even with those shenanigans going on, I just wanted to take a moment and catch you all up on the backlog goings ons. And the first order of business is presenting the next completion from my towering backlog, Claire Extended Cut by Hailstorm Games! Which wasn’t exactly what I was hoping for when seeking out something else to satiate my horror fix upon completing The Coma.

Not that it was terrible or anything, it was just that a lot of the themes and emotions that the devs were trying to portray, kinda fell flat. Luckily, it was super easy, controlled smoothly and was relatively short (about 4 hours). I’ll have more to say about it as well in my full review, so stay tuned!!

Four for the Price of… Oh LAWD!

Not to be out done by a meer completion, two in the last week in fact, the ole backlog is rearing it head and scoffing at my victories! That’s because it has a few more games for me to tackle! Four in fact! Including the latest edition to my library, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night!! Which my wife surprised me with over the weekend! But the other three that I have my eye on are Super Neptunia RPG, Dragon Star Varnir and The Call of Cthulhu. I’m thinking I’ll be focusing on those for the next little while, which means I’ll be on my PlayStation 4 for another little bit. Or a lot of bits, if we’re going to get technical!

Honestly, if I hadn’t already started Super Neptunia RPG, I’d be all over Bloodstained, but I have to keep my wits about me and stay the course! As hard as that might be. Just the little taste of Bloodstained when I went to test it out after ripping it from its delivery envelope has me eager to dive in! And let me tell ya, so far it looks fantastic.

I’ll also say that Super Neptunia RPG seems like it’ll be super fun too. I haven’t gotten too far yet, but the cute and colorful graphics are an absolutely joy and the gameplay it simple and stress free, which is kinda what I’ve been in the mood for. I can already feel it sinking it claws into me, so I’m sure you’ll see more of it here! Hopefully its addiction factor lasts because I’ve been looking forward to this one!!

Unencrypted NNTP Connections

Well my friends, that’ll do it for today!! Like I said, short and sweet! But I should also have that new review gracing your ears and eyes, so I thought it would be nice to give your reading muscles a little rest.

Until next time backloggers, have a great rest of your day!!!
